Configure Cursor’s custom OpenAI endpoint.
Connect your key
In Cursor Settings, open Models, then API Keys. Enter your uRouter key under OpenAI API Key and enable Use OpenAI API Key. Enable Override OpenAI Base URL and use the URL below.

Add a custom model using its exact uRouter model ID. Restart Cursor, open a new chat and select that model. Choose a text model with execution enabled for your account.
Compatibility
This configuration follows Cursor’s custom-endpoint setup; it has not been tested end to end with uRouter. Use a model that sends Chat Completions requests. Responses and Anthropic Messages are not supported. Custom keys do not replace Cursor’s Tab completion, and the base URL override can affect other OpenAI-family models. Disable it when returning to Cursor’s built-in endpoint.
